The "Museum Night" event which takes place around the world had a positive reaction in Armenia as well. The “Museum Night” was first held in 1997 in Berlin. Its aim was to demonstrate the capacity, potential of modern museums and to attract youngsters’ attention.
As a result, in the recent years, around the world and in Armenia, there is a great flow of visitors to the museums. The number of museums and galleries joining this project grows each year.
New technologies bring new ideas and a large amount of information. Everyone uses social networks to communicate.
Museums are the places where our cultural heritage is safeguarded and we add modern art to it. Modern art is the most vivid, accurate and unbiased expression of nowadays.
Galleries are the fastest to react to modern impulses. Artists are the first to bring new ideas, new media, new technological innovations to the museums.
Within the “Digital Museum Night” project we present the works of contemporary young Armenian artists working in different branches of art. 32 Artists from Armenia and abroad will participate in the project. 160 art works will be exhibited.
The selected art works were brought to digital format and a slideshow was prepared that will be presented on the monitors in Yerevan and regions.
VisualGap gallery has prepared a special video for I production. Now besides entertaining games young people can get acquainted with and study the works of contemporary Armenian artists. This will help them expand their world view. On May 18 VisualGap gallery will be open from 18:00 till 24:00.
